Senior IT Support Specialist

Position Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior IT Support Specialist with strong experience in systems migration, infrastructure support, and end-user services. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in
overseeing daily IT operations, leading strategic migration initiatives—including server upgrades, cloud transitions, and email platform migrations—and mentoring junior IT team members. Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver advanced technical support across hardware, software, network, and cloud platforms.
• Lead and execute IT migration projects, such as Windows Server upgrades, Office 365/Google Workspace transitions, and on-prem to cloud migrations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan and implement infrastructure changes with minimal business disruption.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud-based services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-level support tickets and technical incidents.
• Create and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including standard operating procedures, project timelines, and migration playbooks.
• Mentor and train junior IT staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure adherence to IT security best practices and compliance standards, including ISO 27001, through effective access controls, patching, and monitoring.
• Configure and manage secure VPN connections and remote access solutions.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers to support infrastructure improvements and migration activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of 5 years in IT support, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in leading or participating in infrastructure or software migration projects.
• Strong proficiency in Windows and macOS environments, Active Directory, Exchange/Office 365, Google Workspace, and core networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms such as Azure or
AWS.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 compliance and information security frameworks.
• Experience configuring and managing VPN and secure remote access solutions.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, MCSE) are highly desirable.
