Senior General Accountant

Position: Senior General Accountant
Location: Makati (Full Onsite)
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on General Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, support audits, and maintain tax compliance. This role also supports the Head of Finance in reviewing team outputs and enforcing internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end, quarterly, and annual closings; prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain organized audit documentation.
  • Prepare or review tax filings and collaborate with tax advisors for compliance.
  • Assist in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Review junior staff outputs, enforce accounting SOPs, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and support digital accounting initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Experience with financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
