Landscape Designer
Role Overview:
The Landscape Designer plays a key role by delivering high-quality residential landscape plans aligned with client briefs and budgets. This role ensures timely design delivery, clear documentation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Setup:
Initial onsite (Makati Office) for a month, then transition to hybrid.
Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
Objective:
The Landscape Designer will:
• Achieve designs that meet the functional and budgetary requirements of the client.
• Deliver all jobs/designs within the scheduled timeline.
• Deliver all jobs exceeding customer expectations.
• Complete all relevant areas assigned in Assana.
• Maintain open and clear communication with the Design Manager.
Accountability and Responsibility:
1. Initial Client Project Review:
o Attend meetings with the Design Manager to gather all necessary information required for producing a design.
o Proactively collect essential data (e.g., photos, videos, measurements) to ensure the design output meets 90% of the client’s brief.
2. Design Presentation:
o Produce the initial landscape design within 2 weeks of the ‘Initial Client Project Review’ meeting.
o If required, facilitate the conversion of the landscape design to 3D renders and make edits as necessary.
o Edit or amend the design within 48 hours as directed by the Design Manager.
3. Design Construction Quote:
o Produce material quantities lists for all items to be constructed (e.g., square meters
of turf, lineal meters of steel edging).
o Material quantities must include, but are not limited to:
▪ Material selection (e.g., tiles, turf)
▪ Notes on volume/areas for items that may require additional materials.
4. Construction Team Handover:
o Upon client acceptance of the Quote/Estimate, produce construction drawings for the team:
▪ Design Concept
▪ Planting Plan
▪ Dimension Plan
▪ Highlighted detail areas (if required)
▪ Sectional Plans (if required)
▪ Elevation Plans (if required)
5. Responsibilities:
o Maintain positive and clear communication with the Design Manager and the Business Manager.
o Keep the Tracking Report updated in Assana with all relevant details.
o Attend and deliver reports to weekly Design & Estimate Meetings.
o Use the Microsoft Office Suite for communication, file sharing, and reporting.
o Maintain professional presentation
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Experience in scheduling and managing multiple concurrent design projects.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated Skills:
• Ability to produce complex and technical landscape designs to client specifications.
• Ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills – oral, written, and listening.
• Excellent people management skills – oral, written, and listening.
• Effective problem-solving – ability to work on multiple problems/tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
• Ability to design practically, with a focus on functionality and usability.
