Business Development Manager

Community Management:
• Create a friendly environment to facilitate high member satisfaction.
• Seek out information about the business and personal objectives of tenant organizations and their individual members.
• Be knowledgeable about space’s membership contracts and guidelines and local laws that manage the work environment. Explain these policies to members, as necessary.

Business Development
• Outreach to prospects via phone, email and attend meetings in person or via video link.
• Use HubSpot as the central source of tracking sales activities, always keep that up to date.
• Support linked in and other marketing activities for Flat Planet, Workspace and On Demand.
• With the owners, be responsible for setting and achieving sales objectives, occupancy rates, and pricing.
• Conduct tours for prospective members.
• Engage and attend relevant events to target potential members of the community.
• Ensure that new members will fit with culture dynamics and mission.
• Maintain a positive relationship with key vendors.
• Wear suitable professional business attire at all times.

Facilities and Space Management
• Manage all building operations to the satisfaction of members
• Keep members aware of facilities issues that may impact them
• Utilize a variety of coworking software applications to manage the space and membership
• Make recommendations to the owners about new features or perks that will entice members
To attend to any ad hoc tasks that may assign from time to time.

Job Requirements:
• Proven work experience as a community manager
• Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter)
• Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Hands on experience with social media management for brands
• Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics.
• Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
