Graphic Designer and Social Editor
The opportunity
We are the home of three brands, The Company, In the Driver’s Seat and Sometimes Always, and we produce a high volume of design and video content for all of them. We need one talented designer to be the custodian of how all three look and to make the work. Design and social editing are the heart of this role.
This is a hands-on production role. Alongside the design and social editing, you will cover branding, packaging, print and motion. You will work on the content plan and brand voice set by marketing and focus on what you do best, designing, animating and editing to a high standard at the pace the channels demand. Strategy and copy sit elsewhere.
Key responsibilities
Brand custodian
● Act as the custodian of the visual identity of all three brands, The Company, In the Driver’s Seat and Sometimes Always, keeping each one consistent and unmistakable.
● Maintain and evolve the brand guidelines, templates, presets and style libraries for each brand.
● Make sure every asset, in any format or channel, is on brand for the brand it belongs to.
Graphic and digital design (a focus of this role)
● Design static creative for social, digital ads, email and the website, including posts, stories, banners and product graphics.
● Create on brand templates so high-volume content can be produced quickly and consistently.
● Produce promotional and sales assets for campaigns, launches and offers across all three markets.
Social editing and motion (the focus of this role)
● Edit short form social video, including reels and platform specific cuts for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
● Create motion graphics, animated titles, lower thirds, captions and transitions, and bring static brand assets to life with movement.
● Repurpose longer video into multiple short clips for social and build reusable motion templates to speed up repeat formats.
Packaging and print
● Design product packaging and artwork and prepare print ready files to specification.
● Design flyers, inserts and other printed marketing collateral.
● Work with manufacturers and printers on specifications, proofs and print ready artwork.
Content production and workflow
● Produce the volume of content each channel needs every month, on time and in the correct format and dimensions for each platform.
● Turn briefs into finished content that fits the content plan and the brand voice set by marketing.
● Manage source files, footage, exports and the asset library, and manage your own queue and turnaround so work ships on schedule.
● Working fluently across design, motion and editing tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud suite or equivalents.
What success looks like in the first six months
● All three brands look consistent, distinct and high quality across every channel, every week.
● Content is produced reliably in the volume and formats each channel needs, without bottlenecks.
● Brand guidelines, templates and a clean asset library are in place for each brand.
● Packaging and print artwork ships to specification, on time and right the first time.
About you
Essential
● A strong portfolio showing graphic and digital design, branding, motion and social video editing.
● Skilled across design, motion and editing tools, such as Photoshop and Illustrator for design, After Effects for motion and Premiere Pro for editing, or proven equivalents.
● Experience designing packaging and print ready artwork to specification.
● Comfortable holding and protecting more than one brand identity at once.
● Confident producing high-volume content to tight turnarounds without losing quality.
● A sharp eye for brand consistency, typography, layout and detail.
● Up to date with social formats and what performs on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
Desirable
● Experience in beauty, skincare, consumer goods or direct response.
● Experience producing direct response or performance creative, not only brand content.
● Sound design, colour grading or photography skills.
● Experience working with manufacturers and printers on packaging.
