THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The mission of the Senior IT System Admin is to engineer a frictionless, AI-augmented employee experience while maintaining a “Secure-by-Design” posture.
DAY-TO-DAY (ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES)
Systems & Security Orchestration
• ICT Support: Manage the internal demands of Client through Jira Service Management and Slack, and ensure our teams have the technology they need to do their jobs.
• MDM Mastery: Manage and optimize our macOS fleet using Mosyle and ManageEngine, ensuring zero-touch deployment and automated patch management.
• Compliance Automation: Maintain an “always-audit-ready” state within Vanta, closing security gaps in real-time to meet SOC2/ISO27001 standards.
• SaaS Governance: Audit and optimize our core stack (Salesforce, Slack, Jira, Miro) to ensure we aren’t over-provisioned and that integrations are secure.
AI & Productivity Enablement
• AI Implementation: Lead the rollout and governance of Google Gemini for Workspace and commercial LLMs.
• Prompt Engineering & Training: Act as the internal consultant for “AI-First” workflows—helping teams automate repetitive tasks in Jira or summarize complex Slack threads.
• Data Guardrails: Implement and enforce policies regarding how company data is used with LLMs to prevent data leakage. Service Excellence
• ITSM Optimization: Mature our Jira Service Management (JSM) implementation, using AI-driven virtual agents to deflect common tickets.
• Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end onboarding/offboarding journey, ensuring a day-one ready experience for remote and hybrid staff.
• Strategic Budgeting: Manage IT spend with a focus on consolidating “Shadow AI” into sanctioned, secure commercial tools.
OUR IDEAL (EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)
• The Modern Stack: 5+ years in IT management, specifically within a SaaS/Product-led growth environment.
• Apple Expert: Deep experience managing macOS environments at scale (Jamf, Kandji, or ManageEngine).
• Security Mindset: Practical experience with Vanta or similar GRC tools; you view security as a feature, not a hurdle.
• AI Native: You don’t just use AI; you understand the privacy, ethical, and practical implications of using Google Gemini and OpenAI in a corporate setting.
• Documentation First: A passion for Confluence and Miro to create visual and written guides that empower self-service.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
• Internal: All the client’s staff (as a service partner); People & Culture (for onboarding); Security/Engineering (for compliance).
• External: Hardware vendors (Apple/ManageEngine) and SaaS account managers.

• AI Adoption: Proactively researches and proposes how new Gemini updates or LLM plugins can replace legacy manual processes.
• Scalability: Doesn’t just fix a laptop; builds the system that prevents the laptop from failing in the
first place.

• Automation Focus: Scopes and delivers automation projects (e.g., “Automating 80% of offboarding via ManageEngine & Jira API”).
• Risk Management: Identifies “Shadow AI” usage across the business and provides safer, sanctioned alternatives before data is compromised.
Teaming & Communications
• The “AI Coach”: Provides workshops or Slack tips on using AI tools effectively, moving the company toward a more tech-literate culture.
• Clarity: Translates complex Vanta compliance requirements into simple, actionable steps for the rest of the team.
