Power BI and M365 Automation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Power BI and Microsoft 365 Automation Specialist to lead the automation of administrative tasks within the M365 ecosystem and develop advanced reporting solutions using Power BI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on streamlining operations, reducing manual workloads, and improving visibility across business functions through data-driven automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365 Administration & Automation

• Automate M365 administrative tasks such as:

o User provisioning and de-provisioning

o License assignment and monitoring

o Mailbox and Teams setup

o SharePoint site creation and permissions management

o Notifications and alerts via Outlook and Teams

• Develop and maintain Power Automate flows to support system monitoring, data migration, and real-time alerts for operational teams.

• Integrate Microsoft Forms, SharePoint Lists, and Formstack with automated workflows for data collection and processing.

• Set up and manage API and Azure connections to support automation and data integration across M365 services.

Power BI Reporting & Data Integration

• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for HR, Operations, Finance, and Marketing, with automated data refresh and scheduled updates.

• Migrate legacy reports from Excel and Crystal Reports to Power BI, ensuring consistency and performance.

• Create consolidated data sources from multiple systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure Databricks, Oracle, Salesforce).

• Implement data cleaning and transformation flows to support reporting accuracy and business insights.

Process Optimisation & Support

• Lead initiatives to reduce manual reporting and administrative overhead through automation.

• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.

• Provide documentation, training, and support to users on Power BI and M365 automation tools.

• Monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows and Power BI data issues to ensure reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Power BI development and Microsoft 365 automation.

• Strong experience with Power Automate, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft Graph API.

• Proficiency in SQL, Power Query, Excel (advanced formulas/macros), and VB Scripts.

• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and report migration from legacy platforms.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

• Familiarity with Taleo OBIEE, Noetix, Salesforce, and SAP Business Objects.

• Background in teaching or mentoring in IT or analytics is a plus.
