Payroll Analyst – Data Administrator (WFH)
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
• Perform new hire setup, data entry, and review of employee and payroll-related information.
• Process payroll utilizing Vendor Payroll software (primarily ADP)
• Review, process, and maintain accurate time off or timesheet input records of employees
• Process manual check calculations, work with the vendor to process stop payments/reversals, enter variable data entries, and assist with payment distribution.
• Prepare and review superannuation and payroll tax monthly.
• Produce timely responses to resolve employee inquiries.
• Process Termination Pay for leavers
• Process and monitor payment/fund request via Concur System
• Assist in the financial reporting, e.g.,. Payroll Reconciliation and Summary, Service Labour Costing Report, General Ledger
• Assist the Country HR for any HR Administration tasks
• Assist with the End of the Financial Year or calendar year activities.
• Perform ad hoc HR and Payroll activities and projects and be willing to move to other payroll tasks as needed.
• Manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Create reports, analyze and interpret data related to payroll and general hr related processes
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree holder in Finance, Accounting, HR, etc.
• At least 2 years’ experience in Australian Payroll
• At least 3 years’ experience in data entry and review functions
• High proficiency with MS Office Word and Excel applications relating to payroll reporting, reporting, and data tracking.
• Strong system and process mindset
• Solid understanding of HR cycles: onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, invoicing, etc.
• Solid analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to details
• Knowledge of Caps, limits, and tax on super contributions
• Capable of working from home on a dayshift schedule (5x a week—Monday to Friday)
• Has a good working environment set up at home with high-speed internet
• Has good communication skills both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, HR, Business or any related field
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in APAC payroll region, e.g Singapore, Korea, Japan
• Background with Payroll and HR systems like; ADP, SuccessFactors, Workday, HiBob, Pay Day, Dayforce, NetSuite, and Concur System is a plus.
• Background with user acceptance training (UAT) and Data Migration is a plus
• Project Management/Project Team Membership is a plus
• Other regions’ payroll experience is a plus
